The tower was also sited at one of the highest points locally. The views from the top must have been amazing. The cottages are still there.

Another fascinating story Karen & wonderful pictures! Imagine if Turner had needed planning permission back in the day, I doubt he’d ever have been allowed to build so high in that location!
