In reply to TOM GARDNER. I have been fascinated with the history of Rosherville Gardens and last year was working on the actual site which is now a housing estate. There is a space with a small garden where the bear pit was..It's very hard to imagine now but I was delighted it remains and gives the estate a bit of character that most modern new build estates lack.
