AT THE LATE END OF THE 19TH CENT. – WITH OUR ‘NON-TITLED’ … ROYALS –
(VANDERBILTS, MORGANS, ASTORS, FISH-MORRIS, PHIPPS, WHITNEYS – ETC.) …
THERE WERE SOME TRULY WONDERFUL, MAGICAL … RESIDENCES, TO BE SEEN.
SADLY, BUT UNDERSTANDABLY, FEW REMAIN. THOSE THAT HAVE, HAVE BEEN REDUCED IN SIZE AND LIKE YOUR EXAMPLE HERE, NOW HAVE A ‘SECOND’ PURPOSE IN LIFE. (THANK GOODNESS).
THE BEAUTY AND CRAFTMANSHIP MAY NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN.
