MY NYC ADDRESS FINDS ME ON 65TH STREET: BETWEEN MADISON AND PARK AVE. – WHICH IS JUST ONE BLOCK OFF OUR MOST GLORIOUS … CENTRAL PARK.
A BLOCK AND A HALF AWAY – GOING EAST (ON PARK AVE), ONE FINDS A WONDERFUL, CLASSICAL PROTESTANT CHURCH.
EVERY SUNDAY MORNING, AT 9 AM, ONE IS AWARE OF THAT JOYFUL SOUND OF ITS BELLS.
AT FIRST, ‘SOME’ FELLOW AREA RESIDENCE FOUND THIS ‘NOISE’ AN AFFRONT.
ONE WAY OR ANOTHER … ONE NO LONGER HEARS OF ‘THEIR’ DISPLEASURE.
REMEMBER: … ‘FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS; IT TOLLS FOR THEE!’
OK! I’LL GET OFF MY ‘SOAP BOX’.

Good morning Garance. There are other detached belfries, but this is of particular interest because it is so far from the church. It’s a beautiful spot, and you can imagine my excitement when I first came across it completely by accident.
