Hello Simon. Yes, I’m also a regular visitor. The landscape is wonderful whatever the season – even when at its boggiest as you mention. It has been a privilege to see the follies and woodland brought back to life.

Highly recommended. On one of my early visits to Hackfall, I was lucky enough to be there when Mowbray Castle was being restored and was allowed up the scaffolding to enjoy the view from the top. Amazing where you can talk your way into if you explain you are a Folly Fellowship member! Be warned, if it is wet when visiting it is very muddy at the bottom of the hill. Last visited in 2024 in glorious sunshine!
