If anyone who reads this can help Chris and Jeni please contact them direct. Knutsford Museum might be worth a visit as they take a great interest in their local summerhouse makers. The summerhouse has always been there since the house was built in 1890s ish. The owner said I could have it but with 3 conditions
1. We must take care and restore it as best we can
2.if we don’t need it anymore then offer to the national trust first.
3. Invite hum round for a cup of tea when its finished.

I’ve agreed to all his terms so hopefully we will be restoring it in the next few weeks. Happy to take lots off pics along the way and progress reports. Do you have any tips and advice?

We have a Caesar house, it seems to be a bigger version than most. Where most have just the one triangle window on the front ours has three and again where most only have one window on the sides we have two. I think we have a Caesar Summerhouse in our garden. When we bought our house 13 years ago the previous owner made us promise to treasure it which we have. My husband has recently finished a restoration of it as it beginning to fall into quite bad disrepair.
The lady who left it said her Dad bought it for her when she was a child from a Stately home in the Shrewsbury area. She was born in 1924.
A chance posting of photos of the finished project on Facebook led us to someone sending us the link to the Caesar Company.
I can send photos.
